February ~ what a month

I love my laptop....... why do I say that? About 2 weeks ago I got my foot hung up in the power cord and drug the laptop off the table it was resting on. CRASH!!! YIKES!!!!! I lift it up like it is an injured puppy and start inspecting it for wounds and blood.... Let's see, a cracked top, power cord connector bent at 90 degrees, but it appears to be still ticking..... could damages possibly be limited to a new power supply? YES ~ everything looks good ~ until I close the top the first time. During the restart I notice that things aren't right. Out of warranty, but near and dear to my heart ~ I opt for repair instead of buying a new one. $375 later..... I have a fully repaired laptop and am back in business. Kaneke was kind enough to let me use hers but as my friend Dan Laciak has said...... using someone elses laptop is like wearing someone elses underwear..... it just doesn't feel right!

In addition to the laptop catastrophe, February proved to be an exciting month. We got a brand new 2007 Ford F-250 'King Ranch' on February 2nd, Candy & I shared our 8th anniversary on Valentines Day, I experienced my 56th birthday on February 23rd, and.........still ahead, I want to hookup electricity to our hot tub, tile our bathroom floor, and help Malcolm and Melissa finish the tile work in the house they are building. Whewwwwwww...... I am exhausted.

With those things in front of me, I am content at this moment to sit in my warm bed, drink my 'Pumpkin Spice' blended coffee, Molly tucked in beside me, and Kaneke an arms length away typing away on her laptop...... February ~ what a month!

The Brothers Three ~ and Kaneke too!

OK ~ in my previous post I promised pictures of our new Ford F-250, King Ranch Edition. If you look closely you can see it in the background.

It is a rare occurance that I have the opportunity to see both my brothers at the same time but we were able to pull it off recently.

I will post more on the truck in a follow-up post........

Busy, Busy, Busy.....

In all our lives, we seem to run upon periods of time that are extremely busy ~ it has been one of those times for Candy, Molly, and me. I plan to get back into the swing of keeping my blog updated now that we seem to have put a lot of things behind us.

Candy & I bought a new truck. I have wanted to post new pictures but want to wash it first. The recent warm weather creates a daily thaw of recent snows resulting in wet roads. If I washed the truck it would be dirty before I get it home. A description of the truck and pictures will be posted very shortly. Please check back soon!
