Latest Project
My latest project has been to prepare our 5th wheel RV for another season of camping. We hope to get out into the national forests before they are closed due to lack of rain. We have had numerous wildfires in Arizona already this year. Some fires caused by dry storm lightning ~ but most due to careless campers who fail to fully extinguish their campfires.
As you can see by the picture above, the first RV project for the year involved help from Michael to relocate the trailer axels to the bottom of the leaf springs with a net result of lifting the RV 4" to 5". This was necessary because our new truck is much taller than our old truck and without lifting the RV it would go down the road with the front of the trailer sticking high in the air.
You can see the results above. The nose of the trailer is still a little high but we didn't have any weight in the trailer, no generator, water, etc. When we do it should level out and ride perfectly. The new truck pulls the trailer without effort and is a joy to drive. Now ~ where in the world did I store all those camping items from last year?

I want to thank the 2 men in my life, (well, those not in diapers) for fixing the fifth wheel for our summer adventures!
If you look very carefully, you can see Michael's hands on an axel or something, and his long legs!
Yay! I'm glad you were able to get it done. You really can do ANYTHING! Hope you get to do a lot of camping this summer.
Are you putting a bouncy seat on the RV for Connor?
Heck yeah ~ we plan to take along an entire play yard ~ but for all the Grandkids, not for just Connor.
Impressive project! I hope you get to enjoy the fifth wheel more this summer.
